Nouveau formulaire d’application DS-160 pour les demandeurs
de visa non-immigrant au Consulat américain à Port-au-Prince
A partir du vendredi 30 avril tous les demandeurs de visa devront remplir électroniquement le nouveau formulaire de demande de visa DS-160. Ce formulaire a été conçu par le Département d’Etat américain dans le but de rationaliser et de simplifier le processus de demande de visa, et ainsi mieux garantir la protection de la vie privée des demandeurs de visa.
Le nouveau formulaire DS-160 doit être rempli en ligne. Il n’y a aucun frais à payer et il ne nécessite pas l’aide d’intermédiaires. Après avoir rempli le formulaire en ligne, le demandeur de visa devra imprimer la feuille de confirmation avec la barre codée et l’apporter au Consulat le jour du rendez-vous. La barre codée permet au Consulat de télécharger les informations fournies dans le formulaire DS-160.
Les demandeurs de visa peuvent accéder au formulaire DS-160 à partir du site électronique disponible à l’adresse suivante: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. Toutes personnes désirant produire une demande de visa devront utiliser notre système de rendez-vous électronique à partir du site http://evisaforms.state.gov/SchedulingSystem.asp.
Les instructions complètes sur la manière de remplir le formulaire DS-160, le système de rendez-vous électronique et une liste relative aux autres formalités requises pour les demandes de visa, sont disponibles sur le site http://haiti.usembassy.gov.

New Application for Individuals Applying for Non-Immigrant Visas
at the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince
Effective Friday April 30, 2010, individuals applying for non-immigrant visas at the Embassy of the United States in Port-au-Prince will be required to submit their application via a new electronic process known as the DS-160 Non-Immigrant Visa Electronic Application. The U.S. Department of State developed this application with a view toward streamlining and simplifying the process for applicants, as well as offering greater privacy protection for applicants.
The new DS-160 must be completed on-line. There is no charge and it does not require the use of intermediaries. After filling out the electronic form on-line, the visa applicant simply prints out a confirmation sheet with a bar code and brings this to the interview. The bar code allows the Embassy to electronically access the information contained on the DS-160.
Applicants can access the DS-160 from the Department of State’s Consular Electronic Application Center website at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. All applicants must also schedule appointments using our on-line appointment website http://evisaforms.state.gov/SchedulingSystem.asp.
